About Me

Anneka is a strong actress who has starred in both British, African and American films including big brand TV commercials. She has a solid discipline in theatre as well accomplishments in dance and dance choreography. Although her first love is acting, her artistic portfolio includes directing and producing having recently co-directed a war movie shot in Zimbabwe. She enjoys collaborating with like minded professionals and is also currently an ambassador for fashion brands.

After attending the prestigious Mountview Theatre of Academy Arts in London, Anneka was offered representation by an agent which led to performances in numerous theatre shows. She Impressed audiences in a Chekov adaptation of 'Ward No 6' as Sonia and 'Six Characters In Search of an Author' by Pirandello, both directed by Victor Sobchak. She has been coached by leading UK and Los Angeles based tutors including Philip Roche, Amy Lydon, Lesley Khan and Bernard Hiller

She also trained as a dancer and undertook the following dance qualification Choreography in Dance Theatre Level 1, London Open College Network she performed in music videos, festivals and international events at Earls Court London. She also delivered dance and drama workshops for the Shoreditch Trust, London for three years.

TV/Film

Anneka has worked with established producers and directors and her filmography include short and feature films, pilots for TV Series and popular TV dramas on terrestrial television such as ITV.

She has appeared in ITV big brand commercials such as Heinz and Capital FM.

She has recently finished shooting 2 feature films due for cinematic release in late 2015 / early 2016, starring as Gladys in I Said I Do and Martha in Chinoyi 7.

She is currently working on 3 independent film projects and a TV series to be shot in 2016. These include an Anglo-French adventure movie 'Le Petit Tour du Monde' shooting in France and a romantic comedy/drama titled 'This Time It's Really Over'. She is also starring in a horror based thriller directed by Julius Amedume in 2016.

Directing / Producing

Anneka has always had a deep curiosity on set and a keen interest in the production and creative process. She has worked hard to develop concepts and collaborate with experienced writers. Upon finishing drama school she produced her first short film, Tea for Two and years later went on to co-produce a pilot for a TV Drama series, Café Afrik which was screened at 'Lights Camera Africa' film festival in 2013. She also plays a lead role within the pilot as Nagesa, a vixen and ruthless entrepreneur.

She has teamed up with talented filmmakers, producers and sponsors and is the executive producer on three screen projects currently in development. They are scheduled to enter pre-production between 2016 - 2018.

She is a true professional on set and welcomes new challenges and collaborations with like minded artists.

Her philosophy is to find a piece of herself in every character she plays, set her performance free and keep an open mind.

Theatre

Anneka's theatre debut was at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London and she has since performed at Fringe venues and other dynamic theatre spaces around the UK. She received glowing press reviews for her performance as the capitvatingSonia in Ward No 6 and her role interpretation in Pirandello's Six Character in Search of an Author.

Her role as Sarah and Rafiatu in Farewell Sister performed at the New Diorama Theatre, Central London, raised her performance stakes and saw her deliver a powerful and engaging performance.
